4th Grade
Happy New Year from Fourth Grade! As we start this new semester, we are gearing up to end the year out strong. We have three SOLs to complete starting in April; Reading, Math, and Virginia Studies. We are excited to see how much our students have learned and grown academically. As we prepare for the end of the year, we would like to remind our Fourth-Grade families and students to practice and review daily. Look for review sheets and packets that will come home. This will help keep skills fresh in their brains. We still have lots to learn but we are enjoying teaching your children this year and ready to celebrate their success.
In the STEM Lab, students bring science to life through hands-on activities, LEGO STEM Kits, and our 3D printer. They also participate in field trips that allow them to discover history, science, and the community firsthand.
Beyond academics, fourth grade is a time for students to learn responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving. They are encouraged to explore new interests, take on leadership roles within the school, and celebrate their individuality and personalities. Fourth grade is a year of building confidence, forming lasting friendships, creating memories, and developing the skills students need for future success.
The 4th Grade students at GES will learn the 4th Grade Standards of Learning this year. They can be found at the following link.
